25 THINGS I LEARNED AT 25

  1. Living is like being thrown into a laundry machine, where you are spun, drowned, shoved around but in the end, you’ll come out not only clean, but also fresh;
  2. It’s so easy to assume that we’re ready to take that leap of faith, until God decides to test your patience and understanding of it;
  3. Giving up is easy but moving forward, working hard and never losing faith in God’s plan for you are worth every tear and effort;
  4. You’d come to meet random strangers who’d ripped your heart open at a grocery store and make you cry all the way home;
  5. Kindness defeats all;
  6. There is power in silence, in listening, in observing and in understanding;
  7. Dark chocolates are the best;
  8. When the day gets hard, just look up and see just how small we can be;
  9. Love yourself, learn and practice self-compassion;
  10. Be cautious with whom you share your personal information to, it’s so easy for anyone to use and manipulate your stories, and damage your reputation;
  11. Be mindful of the words that come out of your mouth. What you mean as a joke may come out as an insult to someone else;
  12. Just get rid of all the ones that hurt your soul;
  13. Forgive those who wronged you, because if God can forgive even the worst of your doings, then why can’t you forgive another human being?
  14. Things will eventually fall into the right place;
  15. Things might also fall out of place sometimes;
  16. Really truly appreciate those who have chosen to stay with you through the thick and thin of your life;
  17. Be thankful of the friends who constantly get your ass out of bed;
  18. Not everyone can understand what goes through your mind, so it’s okay to keep things to yourself;
  19. God’s help is so sweet, and indeed your heart finds peace in the remembrance of Him;
  20. Cry, cry just as much as you need to;
  21. Pains are inevitable, but pains give you strength;
  22. Meet people whose eyes sparks when they speak of the things they love, and tell them exactly how that makes you feel;
  23. A private life is a happy life;
  24. The feeling of almost fainting; hearing loss and visions fading into white were probably some of the most interesting, yet confusing moment in my life;
  25. Don’t let anyone define and tell you what you should or should not do as a woman because that’s how and what a woman should be
